Citizen and Business of the Year 2018

Citizen of the Year:

Carol Lundgren

Food Pantry Secretary 7ys, Food Pantry garden volunteer for 5 yrs, church work, Mountain View volunteer, Central NH VNA & Hospice volunteer. Carol has tirelessly volunteered in several areas of our community including working with area agencies on aging involving medical advocacy, money management and nursing home ombudsman. She has advocated on behalf of elders and their families to address and enhance quality of life. In addition, Carol has volunteered in numerous positions at the First Congregational Church of Wakefield benefiting its members as well as the community at large.


Business of the Year:

Cindy’s Place 

At Cindy’s place, everyone goes above and beyond for community members, volunteers & veterans. Cindy and her staff are always willing to help others in need, they put on many fundraisers to raise money for good causes and are always very friendly. Cindy has helped the food pantry, Hazel MacBrien Preschool and others by providing a fabulous dinner with proceeds going to the groups. The donations from her customers always raises substantial money. She gives of her cooking talent with an open heart and laughter. It is a Win-Win.
