Lenten Study @ First Congregational Church of Wakefield, UCC
Mar 3 @ 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

For our Tuesday noon Lenten Study, we will be continuing on with “We Make the Road by Walking” (by Brian McLaren). This study consists of weekly short chapters that provide “insightful reflection and transformative practices” as we delve into the meaning of the passage itself and the accompanying Bible verses.  The way the study is structured it purposely pauses at Lent to redirect our focus.  The first five lessons of Lent dwell on Jesus’ teaching from the Sermon on the Mount and leads us to Passion Week where we will focus on Jesus’ last days in Jerusalem.

While reading the chapters and pondering on the questions can be good preparation for class, it isn’t necessary since we do read and ponder the chapter in class.  If you would like a book, the cost is approximately $11.00.
